How to participate in Trash to Treasure:

Clean up litter in your chosen area in Utica, NY
Document your efforts:
Please be prepared to submit the following information:
- Date and location of your cleanup(s)
- How much garbage did you collect (number and size of bags filled)?
- At least one photo documenting your cleanup efforts (*this requirement can be waived if it is a barrier to entry!)
Create a work of art from found objects and materials! Submission deadline for artwork is May 31, 2024
Be safe and make sure to properly dispose of any trash or recycling that you pick up if you’re not using it in your project!

Join us on Sunday April 21, 2024 for a community cleanup event from 1 – 3 PM in Utica, NY, starting at the Utica Vintage Club, located at 421 Seneca Street, Utica, NY 13502!
*This is not mandatory for participation in Trash to Treasure, but at this group event you can celebrate Earth Day with us, meet up with other participants, and get cleanup supplies!

No Photo? no problem! If you are unable to take a photo of your cleanup, don’t worry about it! We want you to participate anyway! Document your cleanup by making a note of where & when you picked up your found materials. Contact us if you need help submitting your project at uticatrashtotreasure@gmail.com
